24 Hour Fitness makes it easy to find a class that fits into one of the 24 hours in your day. With more than a dozen exercise classes offered throughout the day for different age and fitness levels, 24 Hour Fitness has you covered. Whether you’re an athlete in training or you just need to relax, there’s a group class that’s perfect for you.
The must have in any good fitness routine is a great cardio workout. 24 Hour Fitness offers traditional classes like tried and true Aerobics. Or take your workout up a notch with Turbo Kickboxing or Boot Camp–a conditioning calisthenics class designed to pep up performance in every type of sport. More adventurous athletes can sample Cycling or one of many popular Dance classes, from the country-themed Cowboy Boogie and Latin-flavored Salsa Moves to the hip-hop beats of 24Grooves and the exotic allure of 24 Hour Tease.
The personal training program at 24 Hour Fitness is also great because you get a fitness guidebook, fitness and nutrition journal to track your progress, and a nutri-kit with vitamins and supplements from Apex. These three tools, along with your trainer, will get you on the fast track to reaching you fitness goals. Think of it is getting to ride in the carpool lane during rush hour. By “traveling” the road to fitness with a trainer onboard, you are likely to get where you’re going much faster! Why endure months of trial and error in the gym, when a personal trainer can show you “the right way” right away!
Confucius said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a
single step.” Ah such wisdom. This blog is more like a journey of a thousand leg
lifts, down dogs, and crunches but none the less, I figure I'd better get
moving! I took my first step into the world of 24 Hour Fitness, beginning
with a tour of the "Hollywood
Sport" 24 Hour Fitness club, which is close to my house. 24 Hour
Fitness has a variety of club types ranging from "FitLite" to "Ultra Sport."
This particular gym is large and in addition to cardio machines, weights, and
Group X fitness rooms, also has a basketball court, indoor lap pool, sauna,
steam room, spa, and lot's of natural light which I love! The tour took about
20 minutes and I was basically shown around the club, and told about all
the programs they offer to their members to help them achieve their fitness
goals. My tour guy, John, was great. He really emphasized how important 24 Hour Fitness thinks it is to give it's members the necessary tools to get results. He explained that
more often, the members who actually use the fitness tools available through the
club, are the people who see results and therefore continue working out long
term. Makes sense to me!
MY FIRST CLASS: Hatha Yoga taught by
Yulia. I’d recommend this 60 minute yoga class for a beginner or someone who
doesn't want a really intense yoga workout. It was a good balance of stretching
and simple yoga flows that kept me moving continuously so I never got bored.
About 30 people took the class, but the room was not overly crowded. I left
feeling very relaxed and limber.
