Actor’s Projects in the Works

Here’s a breakdown of a couple things that some of our favorite actors are working on.
First off we have, Hilary Swank. She had an emergency surgery to remove a “growth” but her rep assures us that she’s ok to go ahead and win another Oscar. Her latest project is a new drama, Betty Anne Waters, which is about a woman who is trying to help clear her brother’s name of a murder he didn’t commit. Sounds a bit cheesy, but with a director like Tony Goldwyn, it should be interesting.
Next up is one of my faves, Jacko “The Wacko” Black. I added the Wacko for emphasis, because Jack Black’s outgoing nature and comedic talent makes him so versatile! He is actually working on a Bourne Identity spoof movie for Universal. The role: An American who washed up on a beach, in which the only explanation he can think of is… he, must be an international spy! I would just chalk it up to too much drinking but that’s just me.
Samuel Jackson just had Lakeview Terrace and it was relatively good. But, rest is for the weary. He’s already going to work on a thriller, with Michael Sheen, called Unthinkable. The plot revolves around a nuclear threat on the US. Not very original, but I’d like to see his role in it.
Chris O’Donnel, despite having his show canned, is teaming up with 30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer to make a stunning and action packed rendition of Warner Brother’s Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. This guy keeps moving on the up and up! I actually like the guy, just wish he had “better” opportunities to showcase his talents.
Last but definitely not least, good old Jonas Brother picking, Russel Brand is set to do a one hour stand up for Comedy Central. He’s going to do the NYC show in November, but it won’t air until next year. Tough, I know, but he’s worth the wait. Well, at least I hope so.
