Tyler's Bio

Well I was born in Alaska.  Let’s just pause there for a second because this usually trips people up.  Yep, it’s dark in the winter and never dark in the summer.  Couple other stereotypes I should clear up as well--I’ve never seen a Polar Bear outside of a zoo, penguins don’t live there, but there’s no question the state produces some of the most intriguing and ruggedly handsome men in America—it’s basic science. 

Ask anyone and they’ll tell you I peaked in high school—normally I don’t like to brag but it’s true.  I excelled in Arctic survival, animal tracking, and New Age Igloo Architecture and Design (all the basic things Alaskans are expected to learn).  Upon graduation I attended Gonzaga University on an ROTC scholarship with the goal of running the Army after a couple years.  Funny thing happened on the way though … I made it to Captain and started to realize that maybe the Army wasn’t the life for me.  Was a hard decision to leave but once made I did my best with it. 

I ended up at Kraft Foods in ’04 and have been on a mostly flat to slightly positive trajectory since then so I’m a consistent performer.  I’ve managed to secure the rather lofty title of Senior Associate Brand Manager working on the PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese brand.  Currently my big project is launching a new reduced fat cream cheese product in ’08.  I’ve been told that if I’m successful there’s definitely a slim chance I’ll get promoted.
