Adding Value to Thanksgiving!

Last night my husband and I sat down to do our holiday budget. It didn’t take a genius with an Excel spreadsheet to see a real dilemma: Bigger Kids plus Greater Toy Demands minus Extra Holiday cash equals Big problem not even Santa could solve. Lucky for us, we found a great solution at Safeway.
With everything from their weekly specials to online deals (many geared for all my holiday needs), I found that I could save a good 20% over what I’d normally be paying elsewhere. There are even some ideas on how to use the Safeway’s Leftover Lounge to make new meals for less – allowing the cash in my wallet to stretch a little bit further toward toys for the kids.
I never used to pay attention to ads and coupons, but with the economy the way it is – every dollar counts. I want to build memories for my family and still build up my savings. Safeway fits my family values – both in quality food and financial good sense. With a little luck – and a whole lot of savings from Safeway – including a Free Turkey with minimum purchase and Free Delivery for first time online shoppers – it might indeed turn out to be, like my favorite holiday song, the most wonderful time of the year.
