Holy Crap! I can’t say I really expected this, but with the Square Enix official site showing off a very familiar image (pictured above), the URL ending in CTDS and Square Enix confirming the game personally, we all of a sudden have our hands on something that some had lost hope of ever having: An update of Chrono Trigger.

Yes, Chrono Trigger DS has been officially announced and will be here in time for me to believe in Santa again (since only he could make such magic happen). The newly revamped version will of course include use of both DS screens with touch screen support, as well as a new dungeon and some kind of wireless mutliplayer mode to top it off.

While that’s all the details we have for now, they’ll suffice as we expect more to pour out around E3 in less than 2 weeks. It’s a red haired miracle!
