Cinnamon Roll Muffins
Posted on 11 September 2008 by joy
I’m a cheater. I’m always trying to find ways to get the goodness of warm cinnamon buns out of my oven without actually having to proof, roll and slice real cinnamon rolls. Call it lazy. Call it cheating. Shake your head in disapproval. You won’t disapprove once you try these muffin/buns for yourself.
The dough is inspired by a post by Nicole of Baking Bites. She’s a girl after my own heart with her Cinnamon Bun Quick Bread. Imagine, in less than an hour you can sink your teeth into cinnamon roll inspired goodness. And you don’t even have to preheat the oven!
It couldn’t get any easier!
Nicole made an 8×8-inch cake. I opted for muffins which took a cool 20 minutes in the oven. What are you waiting for? I’m promising you warm cinnamon and sugar muffins fresh out of the oven! Here’s the recipe. Get to it!

Excellent idea! I saw this too one Baking Bites, but the muffin idea is so much more assessable…or at least to me. They’re delicious. Very coffee cake in texture, with the topping, it’s just fantastic. No need for icing.
