Clooney, Pitt Headed to Venice

The Venice Film Festival has just announced their lineup and it will not be hurting for star power. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Anne Hathaway and Charlize Theron are just some of the stars expected to attend the 65th annual festival when it kicks off on August 27th.
The Coen Brothers’ comedy Burn After Reading will premiere here, starring George and Brad, along with John Malkovich and Oscar winners Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormand.
Rachel Getting Married, with Hathway and the elusive Debra Winger, will be up featured as well. The film tells the story of an ex-model whose unsuccessfully spent the past 10 years going in and out of rehab and comes home for her sister’s wedding.
And The Burning Plain, a mother-daughter drama starring Theron and Kim Basinger, is also among the other 21 U.S. films in contention for the illustrious Golden Lion award, which will be handed out on the festival’s last night, Sept. 6th.
