Frothy Foamy Coffee at Home

| | Comments (2)
Thumbnail image for ChambordMilkFrother.jpgI love the thick creamy foam that comes on top of my Cafe au Lait from Fratelli's ... my local coffee spot. For the longest time, I quit making coffee at home because I didn't even want to drink it without the foamy goodness. Well, thanks to this clever little kitchen tool, that's apparently been around for awhile, I can now make fluffy froth at casa Lindsay without spending a few hundred bucks on an espresso machine! I've also been saving about $16 a week by making coffee at home Monday-Friday. That adds up to about $850.00 a year! Good news until I strike it rich. Click the link below for my coffee recipe.
DeLuscious Cafe au Lait with sweet foam!
1 cup drip coffee
3/4 cup organic skim milk + more for foam
2 packs Splenda - divided
Pumpkin Pie Spice

Pour coffee into large mug with 1 Splenda.
Add milk to coffee, stir, then heat in microwave for about 30 seconds.
Pour milk into frother, up to the line and add one Splenda. Pump frother until foam form.
Really cold milk and a cold frother glass works best. I keep my frother in the fridge.
Let frother sit for about a minute, then top your coffee with the creamy foam and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice. YUM!
