5 Date Ideas for This Weekend

My favorite workday song is "Everybody's workin' for
the weekend..." Truer words were never spoken, especially when the weekend
you're looking forward too includes a date. Indulging in some much needed alone
time with Mr. Right...priceless. These ideas will definitely make him glad he's
out with you instead of at home watching the NBA Playoffs.
Hit the beach, after hours
Yes I know, it's very cliché but it doesn't have to be the beach. Just pick a
place that is serene and beautiful. Roll down the windows, enjoy the fresh air
and relax. Let your seat back, hold hands and just talk. My BF and I do this a lot;
it's a great way to reconnect after a hectic week. Plus making out in the car
makes me feel like I'm 16, again.
Go to the market
Before you stop reading this idea, hear me out. Grab your guy and hit the
nearest farmers market and stock up on produce that's in season. Strolling from
booth to booth, hand in hand, you'll remember why you fell in love. And most
markets nowadays have lots of extra goodies for you to indulge in, plus
it's an ideal place for people watching.
Take in a movie
Throw your blanket and plenty of snacks into your bag and head to the drive-in.
Sure it's old fashioned but that's part of the appeal. Watch your favorite
classic on a big screen and take in all the nostalgia that comes with it.
Give to a good cause
Go ahead and buy those $250 a head benefit dinner tickets. Then but on your
fanciest perfume, your prettiest dress, fix your guys bowtie and have the best
but smallest portioned food you've ever tasted. Yes, we all agree $500 is a hefty
bill for a night out on the town, but the feeling of saving the world that's
attached to it makes it worth every penny.
Take a class
Does the word “Ghost” ring a bell? That could be you and your guy. Grant it
you'll be in a class filled with other pottery making hopefuls but think of the
homework. If pottery is not your thing, try a cooking class. Feeding each other
your latest creation to sample has fun written all over it. You could also try
a writing class. What girl doesn't want a guy who's trained to write poetry?
