The Rebirth of Boxed Wine

I remember when boxed wines were painfully uncool.  There was always a box of White (by white I mean pink, of course) Zinfandel to be found in my grandparents refrigerator.  I think the only thing worse than boxed wine was White Zinfandel boxed wine.

But things have changed!  Now purchasing boxed wine means you're progressive, eco-friendly and just all around awesome.

So what's so great about the next generation of boxed wine?  Boxed wines have more wine than a bottle, they're cheaper, great for parties, recyclable and with their fancy spout, they last longer too!  Boxed wines have quickly become the smart purchase.  No more embarrassing moments at the check out stand, self consciously explaining to the cashier that the box of wine you're purchasing for yourself really is for you grandmother... or maybe that's just me.  Here are the top 5 best boxed wines from Epicurious.  I'll spare you all the fancy wine talk.  Suffice it to say, these 5 wines aren't chillin' in Grandma's fridge.  They're the next generation of boxed wine, and they're awesome.
