I don't know about you, but I almost melted this weekend.  With temperatures pushing the triple digits, all I wanted was a cold drink, a sparkling pool, my big trendy sunglasses,  and a comfy lounge chair.

Here are 5 awesome summer drinks that will help you brave the rising temps.  The best part is you can make them at home!  Or maybe just have your pool boy whip them up for you.  No need for you to leave your lounge chair unless it's absolutely necessary!

Ginger Lemonade-  Literally spice up your lemonade with the flavor of ginger.  Adding a bit of fresh ginger to your lemonade will add delicious flavor and refreshing spice.  Sound a little crazy?  Try it, you'll like it!

Strawberry Watermelon Agua Fresca-   How about a little fruit in your water?  Translated into "fresh water" agua fresca is a super popular drink all over Mexico.  It's easy to bring that flavor home!  All you need is some fresh strawberries, watermelon, cool water and a touch of sugar.  Find out how to throw it all together here!

Whiskey Spiked Sweet Peach Tea-  Need a little bit more of a kick in the sumemr heat?  Maybe a combination of peach and whiskey will make the day seem just a bit cooler.  Here's a recipe for what will surely become your favorite tea of the summer.  Warning though, after a few of these you'll no doubt start speaking with a Southern accent.

Mocha Coffee Shake-  Craving your Starbucks jolt, but don't want to leave the house?  Grab your own blender and throw together a coffee treat.  All you'll need are the basics- strong coffee, chocolate suace, ice cream and milk.  For a super strong coffee flavor, use coffee ice cream.  If you'd like a more subtle drink, vanilla ice cream is the way to go.  Find the recipe here and blend away!

Orange Creamsicle-  Creamsicles always remind me of running to the ice ceram truck for a 50/50 bar.  The sweet flavor of orange combines with creamy vanilla ice cream and turns into a dream.  These chilly shakes are great a great poolside refreshment!
