This fruit, yes fruit because it has a seed, seems to turn up on a lot of lists. Not only will it keep you ready for some hot lovin' but it will keep you looking good enough for hot lovin' as well. Avocados are a good source of the "Master Antioxidant" glutathione, an natural anti aging compound. Avocados are also a source of L-cysteine, which helps protect your body from the harmful effects of pollution, chemicals, radiation, alcohol, and smoke. It also encourages healthy hair and nail growth. Nothing yes "youthful" like a full head of luxurious hair.
I am not a big fan of this fruit, maybe because I've only every tried the dehydrated version of it. But regardless of the taste, eat up. Research has shown that apricots have the highest levels and widest variety of carotenoids of any food. What the hell are Carotenoids? They're antioxidants that help prevent heart disease, reduce "bad cholesterol" levels, and protect against cancer. All things that will age the hell out of you, mostly because they lead to death, and nothing ages you faster than the look of rotting flesh.
Toned biceps equal an awesome body, which puts you in the Hot Mom category by default, and when you're hot no one cares how old you are because "hotness" surpasses the pettiness of "age." Stocking up on nuts will help increase muscle tone. Many nuts and seeds are rich sources of vitamin E, lignants and omega-3 fatty acids, which protect you from the ravages of aging.
The saying is true in this case. "An apple a day keeps the plastic surgeon away." Gobbling these down, two or three at a time will keep you young and healthy for years. Apples have also been linked to keeping fat from forming in the abdominal section.
Berry season is in full swing, which is great because they too are bursting with antioxidants and flavonoids. These flavonoids are more potent than vitamins C and E, and they also help to reduce inflammation - more effectively even than aspirin! Say goodbye to the bags under your eyes.
MDSkincare's Serious Lip Treatment is just the stuff you need if you've gone anti-wrinkle cream crazy. It plumps up lips, hydrates and softens, and helps reduce the appearence of fine lines.
Your lips will be kissable and wrinkle free in no time!
Have you been to Lush? Lush is absolutely the best bath product store out there! They make the most fun, best smelling, almost edible bath treats. How about bubble bath in a bar? Break off a piece of these flower topped bubble bath bars and enjoy a citrus scented, ultra moisturizing bubble bath. The cupcake face mask is my other favorite. It's a deep cleaning chocolate mask made from the real deal. It smells so good and it leaves your face feeling unbelievably fresh. You'll be good enough to eat in no time!
One thing is for sure, there is no shortage of strange things in the world. I think Cat Wigs fall under the category of very strange things.
I have great affection for my cat. I absolutely love her. I even go so far as to have a special harness that I put on her to take her for walks around the neighborhood. That's a little over the top, right?
Well if you think that's over the top, check out Cat Wigs. Yes, you read correctly, wigs for your cat. Why? Why not? After you order your cat a new do in pink, blonde, or blue, check out these homemeade cat food recipes. You'll become a crazy cat person in no time!
If you're anything like me, you love going to the spa for fancy treatments, but let's face it, it's not always in the budget. It turns out, if you have a gallon of milk and a bath tub, you're ready to create that fancy spa experience at home- and for only the price of a gallon of milk!
So what's so great about milk? Besides being delicious on a bowl of cerael, milk contains mild acids that are great for the skin. Alpha hydroxy acids, called lactic acids in milk act as a gentle cleanser for the skin while beta hydroxy acids work to exfoliate the skin. Milk has been used for centuries to soothe and moisturize the skin. Cleopatra used to bath in goat's milk, so you're in good company!
Here's How-
Simply warm 1 quart of milk in a sauce pan. You don't need the milk to boil, just heat it gently. While the milk is heating, start the bath water. Once the milk is warm, add it to the bath water and just like that you've got a luxurious bath!
For extra fragrance, add a few tablespoons of honey, a few drops of citrus oil or crushed mint leaves. And of course you'll need some soap! Try handmade honey soap from Lush. You'll be in heaven before you know it!
1. Everyone knows, in order to protect your skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays you should slather on some sunscreen. For the summer months, invest in an SPF moisturizer with an SPF factor of 15 or higher to combat skin damage. Your future self will thank you.
2. One of the mistakes women make in how they apply their summer make-up is too much layering; first is the sunscreen, then concealer, then foundation, and finally a powder finish. All you need for glowing summer skin is a tinted moisturizer and light brush of bronzer to finish the look. Lightening your make-up load will leave you looking young and fresh.
3. You can polish off your summer make-up look with a sweep of eye shadow. Go for a neutral shade, which are perfect for summer. Draw a soft line around the eyes and finish them off with a bit of waterproof mascara, in brown-black or brown, add a touch of gloss to your lips and you’re all done.
The idea of a "doctor" stabbing me with a rod to loosen fat and then suck it out is frightening. This new technique, that is catching on, is designed to literally dissolve the fat away. You are injected with a series of shots spread out over months, which hardens the fat and then passes it through the body. Of course it sounds like a miracle, in theory, and it has me salivating at the thought of finally being rid of that bit of chub between my underarms and chest, one of the downsides of having fantabulously large natural breasts. If you're as curious about this new trend as I am, check out the pros and cons here.
Truth: SPF is only measurable on skin, not hair. Therefore, douse your locks with a leave in conditioner so there is a physical barrier between your hair and the sun.
Myth: Rinsing hair before swimming reduces chlorine damage.
Truth: Saturating your hair before hitting an overly chlorinated pool will keep the absorption to a minimum.
Myth: A full 15 minutes is needed for a deep conditioner to work.
Truth: "Any amount of time you can dedicate to deep conditioning is good. It's better than nothing -- just like exercise," says Amy Abramite, Creative Director of Chicago's Maxine Salon.
