The Cheesecake Factory boasts that Rock Sugar will be an upscale restaurant with a full bar, really creative drink options and food inspired by Thai, East Indian, Malaysian and Indonesian foods.  The concept is a real departure from the traditionally American fare at The Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux Cafes.  I'm going for a sneak preview tasting this weekend, but the restaurant is set to open at the end of June 2008.  My question- is there such thing as Indonesian Cheesecake?

I love wearing white in the summer.  It's clean and fresh and screams summer in the Hamptons.  White can sometimes be a tricky color to wear, but if you're careful with your glass of red wine and you wear just the right pair of nude undergarmets then your stunning white will make quite a statement at your next cocktail party. 

I also love the idea of these short white dreses as wedding dresses for a casual backyard wedding.  Can you see it?  You and your love in a lush green backyard surrounded by a few family and friends, lots of flowers and candles and you -ultra cute and casual in your pretty white dress.  And imagine to spectacular shoes you could rock if you bought such an economical dress!

Allow yourself a Carrie Bradshaw moment and look at these beautiful Christian Louboutin shoes.  They just might be the most beautiful shoes in the world.  At the very least they're the most beautiful shoes I've seen all day.  The only tragedy is that they're not on my feet. 

So what do you wear with the most beautiful shoes in the world?  My first thought- nothing at all.  My second thought- a simple black dress.  When you go out in these shoes, let the shoes do all the talking.  They'll say "I'm expensive and oh-so-pretty", and you won't have to.

It's simple- I love brownies.  They're gooey and full of chocolate and crunchy wlanuts.  What's not to like?  I have fond memories of making brownies in the kitchen with my little sister and eating them hot out of the pan.  Now when I make brownies, I share them with my darling boyfriend who simply goes gaga for anything fresh out of the oven.  No matter who I share then with, brownies are my ultimate comfort food.  Here are two of my favorite recipes. I have to admit, I've actually gracefully declined being a bridesmaid in a freind's wedding because the dresses were just too ugly.  I'm talking bright, floor length satin pink with a lavendar sash and lavendar shoes.  Trust me when I say that I would have looked like a big bottle of Pepto-Bismol and I did everyone a favor by not showing up in that dress.

Honey, Did You Bring The Camera?

You've got all you vacation plans in order. You've packed your bags, you have your flight information and your chap stick.  I know this might sound silly, but don't forget the camera.  Now days there are lots of parts to your camera, so don't forget your charger, batteries, lenses  and memory card.  Simply having the camera on your beautiful vacation is half the battle.

You and Landmarks

Ok, I know you want to take the perfect shot of your hubby and the family in front of the tallest volcano in Hawaii. It's lovely, I know.  But let me tell you- you may not be able to get the perfect shot of the kids and the entire volcano.  Something will suffer.  You'll have a picture of the kids from their necks up and a whole volcano behind them.  Not exactly what you had in mind?  Focus on your family- take a great picture of them and then get a different shot of the fabulous volcano.  You're a winner.  

Candid Works Too

Not all of the pictures of you and your honey and family have to be posed.  Some of the best pictures are candid.  Personality really comes through in candid shots, creating more memorable photographs. 

In the Details

Sometimes the details of an object are more interesting than the object as a whole.  You might run across a building with amazing details.  Get in there and focus on the small stuff.  You'll creat a more interesting and unique photograph. 

A New Perspective

Is your memory card filled with straight-on eye-level shots?  Experiment a bit.  Different angles can change perspective and lighting, creating a mroe dynamic shot.  Have fun with it!

 Those Lime Cream Marshmallow Pie is a touch of madness.  Remember those crazy jello pudding salads that your Grandma used to make?  Well put that in a pie, cover it wit soft whipped cream and colorful marshmallows and you've got one crazy delicious pie.

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie  is a summer classic.  The sweetness of the strawberries compliments that tart nature of the red rhubarb.  And with a lattice crust you can see all the colorful fruit.  With a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream it's a perfect day!  

How do you like your eggs?  I think my favorite is over medium with whole wheat toast, turkey bacon and well done hash browns.  Kinda diva, right?  At that point, the eggs are just part of a huge, delicious weekend breakfast.  But eggs are actually the perfect food!  Eggs are full of protein and essential vitamins and minerals.  They're a great source of B12, riboflavin and choline, which helps protect us from age related memory loss.  Though eggs are on the higher side in terms of cholesterol and saturated fat, if eggs are part of a balanced diet, they really are wonderufl for you.  So bust out the eggs and treat yourself to the breakfast of champions this weekend.
