Dinner is in the Mail

I get home everyday from work and stare blankly into my refrigerator wondering what I’m going to have for dinner. I usually fry up an egg or boil some pasta and toss it with vegetables. That’s on a good day. Other nights I just grab the container of cottage cheese and box of crackers.
I could put those tough dinner decisions behind me and have my meals delivered.
Imagine coming home from work and finding a warm bag of food waiting for you on your doorstep!? Sounds pretty incredible if you ask me.
Several chef run food delivery companies are poping up around the country. Think of it like ordering in pizza or Chinese food, but it totally gourmet, tailored to your dietary needs, and way expensive. You may notice that most of these companies limit their delivery areas to Los Angeles and Southern California. That’s because a majority of their clients are ultra busy, somewhat superficial, insanely health conscious movie industry people.
Delivers to Los Angeles and Phoenix for $25-$65 a day. Meals fit into the Zone diet, which is 30 percent protein, 40 percent carbs and 30 percent healthy fats. The draw is that you get to pick your favorite foods so the meals are perfectly tailored to your taste buds.
Delivers to the continental United States for $100 per box. Receive one to three boxes per week that contain dozens of dishes made with vegan, organic and raw foods. Supplement your meals with these amazing fruits, veggies and sides.
Serves Southern California for $50-$65 per day. This is my favorite food delivery company. Chef Michael Weldon serves up egg white and turkey bacon breakfasts and filet mignon for dinner. It’s always super fresh and satisfying and based on your caloric intake needs.
Delivers to Southern California for $22-$30 per entree. Picky jet-setters can call SkyMeals and their deliver to the airport terminal, your home, or the film set (if you happen to be a movie star). Bonus? All the meals are tasty at room temperature so there’s no need to search for a microwave.
