DWTS Hook Up History

It’s no secret that there have been several hook ups between partners and even the pro dancers on Dancing with the Stars and with this season’s dance routines steaming up, I thought it appropriate to revisit these former flames and see who’s going strong, and who’s long gone.
I’ll start with a classic “bait & switch” by the Mack Daddy Master, Maks Chermkovski. This guy cracks me up! He shows up to an L.A.’s One Sunset with Cheryl Burke, but then ditches her and picks up castmate Karina Smirnoff! They were even making out in plain sight for all to see, even poor Cheryl. Let’s not forget, Karina is no stranger to offstage romance either.
Let’s take a trip down Karina’s memory lane shall we? We all remember when Karina danced her way into Mario Lopez’s heart, as well as a second place finish, right? She even said that, “The passion was through the roof.” Well that was a mighty short house because not soon after, Mario cheated on her (and confirmed it) so the fairy tale story ended in heartbreak for Karina.
Not all DWTS fairy tales end so sad. Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough have managed to keep their relationship alive through all these trials and tribulations. Despite that Shannon Elizabeth, 35, is almost Cougar status with a whopping 12 year difference from Derek, 23. Derek is paired up with Brooke Burke this season, which is temptation enough, but he sticks to his Shannon and says, “It’s love.”
Which brings me to those partners that already have relationships before the show, but rumors throw a wrench in their relational gears. One such rumor was Cheryl Burke (yup the one that got Mak-ed) and Drew Lachey, who won the season two championship. The rumor was that Drew had cheated on his wife with Cheryl, but she fought the tabloids tooth and nail to set the record straight, that nothing had happened between the two. She claimed, “Drew and I and the whole Lachey family are friends, and it’s completely absurd.” Absurd… like a fox!
Finally, we come to Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas. The two didn’t pussy foot about getting together despite the pussy footing around the dance floor. Sabrina said that, “Mark and I were able to get so close so quickly.” The only thing quicker than them getting together was them drifting apart. The two are now “good friends.” Too bad Ballas was stuck with Kim Kardashian, who put the “Boot” in “Booty” because they were the latest eliminated from the competition.
So that’s a recap of the lovers loved and lost on DWTS. I have a feeling that the Shannon and Derek story will replicate with Cody and Julianne. There are other possibilities for rumors and hook-ups in between now and the finale. Who do you think will cross that line?

I like Derek and Shannon together. Also like Maks and Karina.
Joanna Pacitti is the girl with the herpes, right? The one who got kicked off AI? She seems like a famewhore.
Yeah, I heard Sabrina dumped Mark for cheating, too, and I don’t think it was just with Joanna. I heard it was with Snow Urbin and a few other girls. I also heard he hooked up with Cheryl.
Sabrina made a smart move getting away when she did. Joanna seems so needy for fame. Her career peaked when she was a little kid, and she’s trying really hard to cling on to anyone who can help her, so maybe she’ll put up with the cheating.
I predict Mark will dump Joanna soon, because he’s unable to remain faithful (his father is a notorious womanzier too) and he and his band BHB is losing fans because of no-name Joanna. Nobody seems to like that girl at all, except maybe her own family.
Mark used to date Julianne Hough when they were kids, another girl named Fiona, and then Sabrina. All of them are talented and beautiful girls. He’s traded way down with Joanna. Maybe he thought she’d win AI and he’d gain more fans that way, but now she’s like a parasite leeching off his career.

Mark and Sabrina broke up because Mark started dating singer Joanna Pacitti while Sabrina was in India. He was introduced to Joanna by Kristi Yamaguchi and her husband. Joanna dated one of Brett’s team mates at the time, Tim Gleason. Joanna broke up with Tim, Mark broke up with Sabrina and now Mark and Joanna are together.

I don’t think that Cody and Julianne will hook up. I think Cody is more likely to hook with Lance! It isn’t that hard to understand that after spending that much time with each other that sparks might fly…. I can’t wait for more sparks to fly in this week’s performance of DWTS!!! Those performances are going to be AWESOME!!!
