Debbie Matenopoulos was shocked and heartbroken to find out about her divorce the same way we did… on the internet!

The E! Daily 10 host was married to her husband, Jay Faires, for 7 years, but he filed for divorce on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Court. In a statement, the two time Emmy nominee, and former co-host of The View, said,

“I am not a proponent of divorce and I believe in working things out. So you can only imagine my extreme sadness and disillusionment when I was informed of my husband’s divorce proceedings, much like you were, by reading them online.”

Talk about poor communication. Well let this be a lesson. Open communication is key! Also, life is easier for Emmy Award winners, nominees… not so much.
