Let’s face it, there are more food blogs floating around the Internet that one person could ever hope to keep up with. The best food blogs are personal, thoughtful, have great pictures and recipes, and feature an unrelenting passion for food.

Here are some of my favorite food blogs.

BlogChef from Bobby in Michigan is a great place to start. He has amazing photographs and recipes to match. I’m smitten with his Manhattan Meatballs. This sweet and tangy meatballs and sauce over perfectly cooked rice… yum!

Butter Cakes by Evan- Evan is a great Southern baker. Her Cilantro Limeade, pictured above, is just one example of her gorgeous photography and thoughtful recipes. Her carrot cake is another one of my favorites.

The Novice Baker’s Fresh From the Oven Blog is incredible. Mandy has come a long way, and she certainly doesn’t seem like the novice she was when she first started her blog. Above is her Lavender Chiffon Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and fresh berries. How ridiculously delicious do her pictures look? Seriously…

I love Dine and Dish. Kristen is the Mom and three little ones, and I can’t even imagine how she maintains such a lovely blog. Her dishes are always simple and comforting and the stories and pictures of her family are totally heartwarming. Kirsten is eloquent and personal and puts together a wonderful space for both strangers and family. How about a slice of her Buttery Cream Cheese Coffee Cake?

Miri is the young woman behind Room for Dessert. She lives in Tel Aviv and comes up with the most comforting and approachable recipes. Everything she bakes is made from love. And I always love to read about what she bakes and shares with her new husband, like this Simple Apricot Cake. Just too cute.
