Food Find Daily- Kiwi Margarita
Posted on 17 July 2008 by joy
This summer I’ve dedicated myself to making every fruit I find in my fruit bowl into a delicious cocktail. This week I’m working on a Kiwi Margarita.
From strawberry to peach, and even banana, margaritas have proved themselves to be the ever versatile cocktail base. Kiwis, with their bright green color and sweet and tart flavors make for a unique and unforgettable summer cocktail.
Try it! You’ll like it!
Kiwi Margaritas
1/2 cup super fine sugar
1 cup silver tequila
1/2 cup triple sec
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
4 ripe kiwi fruits, peeled and diced into chunks
about 2 cups crushed ice
- Put all of the ingredients into a blender.
- On top of the ingredients, pour crushed ice until the blender is full, about 2-3 cups.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into margarita glasses and garnish with lime wedge.
- If desired, salt the rim of the glass.
