Governor Rod Blagovecich Arrested for Corruption

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been arrested by the Federales for being more corrupt than Mexican Police officers during Spring Break in Tijuana.
The U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of good old Illinois said that Mr. Blago conspired to trade or sell the U.S. Senate seat that was left vacant by Barack Obama.
One would think, hey, you’re 51 years-old, you should know better than that right? Wrong! This guy even threatened to withhold state assistance to Tribune, Co, the owner of the Chicago tribune, in the sale of Wrigley Field. Why, you ask? Oh, I don’t know, but it could have something to do with him wanting to fire people of the paper who have been critical of him in their “reporting.” I mean, who wants people reporting the truth right? Especially if they’re only… reporters. So how corrupt was this man before getting caught?
“The breadth of corruption laid out in these charges is staggering,” U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said in a statement. “They allege that Blagojevich put a ‘for sale’ sign on the naming of a United States Senator; involved himself personally in pay-to-play schemes with the urgency of a salesman meeting his annual sales target; and corruptly used his office in an effort to trample editorial voices of criticism.”
It doesn’t stop there, he went on to get himself a “bonus” salary fron non-profit organizations, a spot for his wife on corporate boards, illegal promises of corporate funds, which included cash up-front, and a Cabinet post or ambassadorship for himself. This guy thinks he’s Jesus or something! The kicker was that he was quoted saying that he could potentially be able to run for President in 2016 if he executed his plans correctly. What a guy. May I mention that Rev. Jesse Jackson is under his Admin… just saying, he might already have a Senate replacement in mind for Obama.
