Fun Fact:  As  you age, your metabolism typically slows down.  You might just feel worse after two glasses of wine than you did ten years ago.  When the night’s celebrations sneaks up on you the next morning, consider these four hangover helpers.

Eat something spicy.  Try something like a scrambled egg on toast with a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce.  The sudden introduction of something spicy will distract your body from focusing of the dreaded hangover,  Clever, yes?

Settle your tummy.  Eating something plain like dry toast and a sports drink will work wonders.  The bread is easy for your unsettled tummy to digest and the electrolytes in the sports drink will help you get hydrated.

Prickly pears might do the trick.  Believe it or not extract from prickly pear fruit (found in health food stores) reduces nausea.

Sleep it off.  Sometimes the best medicine is two pain killers, a sports drink and several more hours of sleep.  This is the perfect cure on a Sunday morning, but not as doable on a Wednesday morning.
