Holiday Values: Extra Food and Extra Money (Now that’s Appetizing)
Posted on 10 December 2009 by Manny
I used to think of December as the month when my to-do list and blood pressure grow, while my energy level and bank account shrink. But this year, I’ve found Safeway. Goodbye holiday stress, hello holiday spirit!
With their weekly specials and email savings at my fingertips, I can spend time doing what I love the most: Decorating my house, making simple-to-prepare edible gifts with my kids, and thinking about how great these wreath cookies are going to taste.
This year, before the big day, I’m treating myself to Safeway’s Delivery Service – free for first time users. I can order everything I need for my holiday menu right online. With just a few clicks, I can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing my groceries with be delivered right to my door. I save time, money, and maybe even my sanity!
As if all that wasn’t enough, they’re even having a promotion right now. When your purchases reach $250, they’ll give you a $10 reward, instantly! Who couldn’t use a little extra cash right now?
Here are the 3 easy-to-prepare appetizers I’m planning to make:
- Cream Cheese Hummus – This delightful twist on the classic dip is sure to please my holiday guests.
- Endive Leaves With Gorgonzola and Mushrooms – This lighter option, with the added zing of gorgonzola, is always a crowd pleaser.
- Mushroom Sausage Strudel – This simple, elegant pre-dinner treat will be snapped up in an instant.
As for me, I’m relieved to know I’ll be serving my family and friends quality food at a great price. Now that’s a recipe for a truly happy holiday season.
