Hollywood.com: SJP Confirms SATC Sequel?!

So far this week has been turning out to be pretty interesting, yesterday news broke that super-desperate-to-be-famous “reality star” couple Heidi and Spencer got MARRIED..and today Hollywood.com is reporting that a Sex and the City sequel is in works! According to the website:
Parker has revealed there are plans to shoot the sequel next summer telling MTV.com that she and writer/director Michael Patrick King have discussed many potential stories but seem to have found one they agree on, “We’re at the place where…we think we have this story and how do we put this together and are we completely sure that it’s the right thing to do?”
Asked if the reports of a potential shoot next summer are true and Parker confirmed, “I think it’s a realistic timetable. That’s when we’d start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months.”
Though Parker said “the studio is very enthusiastic” about a sequel she continually questions whether they should move forward. “I would do these forever but is it right for the audience? Is this the story that we can tell well? These are the questions I have to ask myself or I’m not being fair to the franchise. That’s where we are.”
I was the biggest fan of the show while it was on tv, I own the box set and not only own but, have seen the movie several times! I just hope they don’t change their characters too much.
