Infinite Undiscovery: Show us Your Face!

Posted on 24 April 2008 by Erik

Infinite-Undiscovery-360.jpgSquare Enix has revealed three playable characters from their upcoming Xbox 360 RPG ‘Infinite Undiscovery’ and, well, they have the look of Square characters.  Eduardo, Lucca and Locca make their presence known filling the character roles we’ve seen in the past.  Eduardo appears to fill the role of lead as a young man who wields a giant sword (stop me if you’ve heard this before) and though calm on the outside let’s his ideals get the best of him and cloud his actions at times.

Lucca and Locca are fraternal twins who seem to resemble Palom and Porom (Final Fantasy IV) in every way imaginable except for the slight difference in their abilities.  While the characters from FFIV wielded white and black magic, Lucca, the boy, is a beast tamer while Locca, the girl, is a summoner.

I’ll reserve most of my comments and criticism for when I actually play the game, but at this point in time it looks like Square is trying to dial up a lot of mash-ups that have worked for them in the past hoping to present a successful 360 RPG title.

More will be revealed tomorrow when the official website for Infinite Undiscovery is launched, expect a release date among other things.  Have a look at the first trailer and see what you think:
