Manny, you say you rest your case? What case? What are you resting it on? The rumor mill that you’re trying (unsuccessfully, I might add),to feed negative & propaganda fodder thru? It’s individuals like you whose efforts can ruin lives.
First anyone’s sexual preference or orientation should be the concern of only the parties involved. Some are so quick to put a negative spin on the lives of others (especially celebrities) to generative more business. Others (like you) take it further, and try to force a square peg into a round hole, because anyone can see what you’re trying to insinuate from that photo couldn’t be further from the truth. But rumors can ruin lives, or doesn’t that matter anymore?
Second, if we haven’t had a better example of that, just take a real good look at a picture of Janet-look directly at her facing the camera, and remember that there was a man that used to look a lot like her that’s now no longer here. He was persecuted damn near his whole life for one reason or another, but in more recent years, for false accusations of child molestation-TWICE. This made headline news world wide. Later, both “victims” recanted their stories, admitted he’d never touched them. But by then, it was too late because he’d been tried in a court of public opinion, and there’s no undoing the damage from that.
It’s fine to follow our hit makers, or in most cases, news makers. But at the end of the day, let’s also remember that they’re people before they’re anything else. That means, Manny, that they feel. How would YOU like someone constantly scrutinizing your every move? Or better yet, accusing you of something you didn’t do? Better still, spreading falsehoods about you that could have a negative affect on you? Your family? Your job? If someone took an innocent photo of your, & Photo Shopped it to their benefit, would you be grateful?
We seem to know more about our celebrities than our public officials, unless of course, it involves scandal. I guess I’ll never understand society’s obsession in recent years to put these people up on a pedestal for public viewing only to strip them of their dignity if they’re not strong enough to handle the pressure. But does the term “overkill” mean anything to anyone? Too much was done too long ago and needs to stop. There are consequences to peoples lives, and lots of collateral damage. And maybe, just maybe I don’t want to be hit with a barrage of various speculation of who’s doing what to whom, how much they drink, if they have on underwear or what they name their children. Maybe, just maybe I’d just like to see.hear them perform. After all, THAT’S the real & only reason some celebrities become one in the first place- for their love of the art.
