2008 is almost over, and this year has been full of some really great movies and some pretty terrible ones. The folks over at Hollywood.com have complied a list of the worst movies of 2008, and well I pretty much agree with them on every single movie!

By far the biggest mistake of 2008 was to let Stallone think he is still 30 years old. Rambo was ridiculously bad, it was like an hour and a half promotion for HGH! No joke, each time I saw his veins pop out of his overly large and scary looking muscles I swore he was about to have a heart attack! This movie lacked any real story and was more about kicking ass.

The next worst movie on the list has definitely got to be 10,000 b.c., this movie really lacks any solid historical information. I studied Anthropology in college and I couldn’t believe the horrible historical mistakes that this movie made. Far too much attention was paid to the aesthetics and in the end the plot line and over use of computer graphics just made sure this movie sucked. I just really hope people who watched this movie do not think anything represented here is true.

While M. Night Shyamalan had many movies make it big, The Happening was NOT one of them. With a 19% review rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this movie really is terrible. Common complaints are that the movie is “incompetent and utterly gratuitous,” that the screenplay really lacks and that the cast of actors does not do the movie any justice. Shyamalan really missed his comeback with this movie, the writing and acting is terrible and the story is totally unbelievable.

By far one of the biggest movie disappointments for me personally, was the The X-Files: I Want To Believe. I was a huge fan of the television show and just like the majority of fans, expected the movie to be just like the show. However, it wasn’t… it was more like a glorified episode of CSI (and I hate CSI). The movie didn’t include a single alien or anything paranormal…and unless I missed something, X-Files is supposed to be about aliens and paranormal. it is 100% clear that this movie was purely made for financial gains.

I am not sure what George Lucas was thinking when he decided to take his uber-famous film series and convert it into a cartoon. Star Wars: The Clone Wars end result was a total mess, the script was a total bust and the animation was horrible. Reviews for this movie go from bad to worse, almost every part of the movie is torn apart…parts that are supposed to be serious end up laughable, the story is not written well at all and it really seems like this movie is just a bad mock of the original series.

To find out what other movies sucked beyond belief this year, you can check out the entire list here.

Rambo as one of the worst movies of the year? Sure, it wasn’t great, but if you think it was the worst movie of the year then you obviously missed Meet The Spartans, Epic Movie, Lakeview Terrace, Transporter 3, Twilight, The Love Guru, Bratz, Jumper, An American Carol, Mummy 3, Speed Racer, Step Brothers….should I keep going?

    What a lame baiting attempt.
