Cuban Ham Spread

Looking for a recipe with a little Latin flair and flavor? Try this spread for an afternoon snack or a movie night appetizer. A creamy mixture of cream cheese, mayo, deviled ham, sweet pickle relish, and pimentos make up this tangy dip. For an added kick add a couple of dashes of your favorite hot sauce. This dip is especially great for parties because a little goes a long way. Two tablespoons per a guest is usually just perfect.

Easy Crab Rangoon

This is one of my favorite appetizers to order when I go out for Chinese food. This version using Philadelphia cream cheese is much healthier and easy to make in the comfort of your own kitchen. They actually only take about 40 min. to make, and you can use ready wade won-ton wrappers or ready made Phyllo dough that is available at your local grocery store. These little bites are savory and delicious and will make you wonder why you only had them when you went out to eat.

Make-Ahead Spinach Phyllo Roll-ups

This Greek inspired appetizer is the perfect addition to any kind of wedding or baby shower. The buttery Phyllo dough with creaminess of the cream cheese and spinach mixture wrapped inside is out of this world. They are great for making ahead of time too, because they tend to freeze well. My husband and I have even had them for dinner, along with some grilled chicken, and a small tomato and cucumber salad.

Easy English Trifle

England has given us many a great thing, Fish and Chips, David Beckham, the Spice Girls, the Beatles, and the rich and tasty trifle. This version of the English classic uses fruit, pound cake, vanilla pudding, and Philadelphia cream cheese. Not only is it tasty it’s quite eye-catching and the kids can help you build it. It serves up to ten people, so it’s great for a dinner party.

Travel to Italy for a night with this pasta dish. It’s loaded with lots of fresh vegetables, and mixed with a delicious white cheese sauce, courtesy of Philadelphia garden vegetable light cream cheese. Garnish with some freshly chopped basil and grated parmesan cheese. Serve with some slices of garlic bread and red wine for the adults and grape juice for the kids.
