Who says you have to be a 27-year-old woman to survive in Hollywood? Meryl Streep is proving all the naysayers wrong, racking up more movies than Vince Vaughn & Seth Rogen put together.
On the monster success of Mamma Mia! comes another plum role for the two-time Oscar winner: the female lead in an untitled romantic comedy that Nancy Meyers will direct for Universal. This will mark Meryl’s first romantic comedy ever, playing the woman in a love triangle with two men.
The very busy Streep already has two other films in the can: Doubt with Philip Seymour Hoffman & Amy Adams and Julie and Julia, also with Amy Adams.
Nancy Meyers is the woman responsible for smash hits What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give and The Holiday. This sounds like a sure-fire hit to us!
