Watch out the Orange Box! Here comes Solid Snake! Slated for release on March 18th, 2008 for the PS2, Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection will feature all prior Metal Gear Solid games (the original Metal Gear Solid as well as the directors cut of Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance and Metal Gear Solid Subsistence), perfect for any die hard Snake fan or Kojima newbie looking to replay all the games before we are witness to the beauty that will be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. As an added treat each game will get new box cover art with Metal Gear Solid getting the PS2 case treatment.
One of the drawing points undoubtedly about Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection will be replaying all of our favorite moments in the Solid Snake series. Arguably those key moments revolve around the boss battles which have been some of the most interesting battles ever in video game history. Let’s look back and look at the top four boss battles in Metal Gear Solid history.
4. Solid Snake vs. Pyscho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid)
3. Solid Snake vs. Liquid Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
2. Snake vs. The End (Metal Gear Sold 3: Snake Eater)
1. Raiden vs. The Harrier (Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty)
What are your favorite boss battles in the Metal Gear Solid franchise?
