New American Idol Judge

The eighth season of American will have a new, much-welcomed female perspective on the judging panel, as Paula Abdul’s so-called ‘expertise’ has set the women’s movement back a few years.
Songwriting extraordinaire Kara DioGuardi will be joining the crew. DioGuardi’s impressive resume includes credits for such artists as Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, just to name a few.
It’ll be interesting to see if this encourages Paula Abdul to form a real opinion, or if she’ll continue to be Randy Jackson’s echo.
