Nick’s Coffee Shop- Los Angeles
Posted on 02 September 2008 by joy
Ok- I’m totally addicted to breakfast. I could eat breakfast food for every meal of the day for at least a couple months, before I tired of fried eggs and pancakes. As often as I can, I call up a friend and beg them to meet me for breakfast, no matter what time of day it is.
This long weekend I had, what seemed like, endless opportunities to try out breakfast joints. On my list, Nick’s Coffee Shop in Los Angeles.
Nick’s is an old school coffee shop on a rather unassuming stretch of Pico Blvd. From the outside, Nick’s looks like a tiny tiny coffee shop, but one you enter, the space seems to open up. With a counter, an open grill and cozy booths against the wall, Nick’s is a welcoming site to any coffee shop lover. The menu is extensive. It’s a good idea to know if you’re in the mood for breakfast or lunch before you head in. Otherwise you’ll be lost in a sea of sandwiches and omelettes and never be able to decide. Service is friendly and they keep your coffee cup full. Perfect.
Here’s the deal with Nick’s:
Great breakfast. Anything served with corn tortillas is outta this world.
Street parking isn’t a pain. Shocking.
Grab a booth. Sit and chat and overtip your server.
Say hi to Nick.
