Olay For You

Just last weekend I was strolling through the mall for some casual shopping. All was fine and good until I found myself smack dab in the middle of department store makeup land. There were makeup and perfume counters as far as the eye could see, each one with a overly made up sales lady ready to pounce with perfume samples.
Now, I’ve been known to indulge my girly and feminine side by spending an afternoon shopping for eyeliner, lipstick and smelly lotions. That being said, there is something simply terrifying about a sea of makeup counters. They make even my most feminine side want to run for cover.
The fact is, I have to get my skin care information from somewhere. Rather than divulge all of my skin secrets to one of the makeup counter mavens, I usually flip through a magazine and pick and choose their latest and greatest skin care products.
It turns out that Olay understands my makeup counter phobia. Olay has created an interactive site that answers your skin care needs. I went through the process and despite my initial skepticism, the site was really cool. Here’s what I did:
I went to OlayForYou.com. I turned up the volume on my computer and was greeted by a friendly voice who held my hand through the whole process which only took a few minutes. I answered a few easy questions about what I was looking for from my skin care. Then followed several questions about my age, skin type, and skin color, as well as whether or not I was going through any stresses in my life that might cause my skin to go haywire. It’s like therapy, for you skin! The process was really clean and hip, the choices were intuitive and the friendly voice was worlds above the automated lady who drones on with voicemail instructions.
After answering a round of questions and divulging concerns, Olay gives you a list of products that best suit your skin care needs. You can print the list, email it to yourself, or find stores near you that sell the products you need.
My tailored routine includes Olay’s Clarify and Cleanse Foaming Cleaner, Total Effects Moisturizer plus SPF 15, and Total Effects Eye Transforming Cream. Now these are three products that are well within my budget and together, form a routine that won’t take me an hour to complete before bed.
Olay For You is just like going to the makeup counter without ever having to leave your house. It’s super easy to use, free, and when you venture out on a Target you can pick up all of the Olay products on your list at a fraction of the price of those fancy makeup counter products. If you shrink away from department store makeup counters like I do, give OlayForYou a try! You’ll be so glad you did!
