Ornaments that Dazzle on the Tree or Delight your Taste Buds!

Domino® Sugar has delicious and easy to make Holiday Sugar Cookie and Gingerbread Men recipes that are perfect for ornaments and dessert. After the cookies are baked, use a small straw or a paring knife to create a hole about 1/2-inch from the top of the cookie. It’s important to do this while the cookies are still warm. Another option is to sandwich two cooled cookies of the same shape together with a filling such as icing or jam, and then insert the ends of a ribbon in the middle of the cookie so that it creates a loop.
Feeling inspired to create more holiday ornaments? Popcorn ball ornaments are delicious and a fun project to do with the kids or give as gifts. Just make a batch of Caramelized Popcorn but instead of breaking up the coated popcorn, use muffin tins sprayed with cooking oil to help form ball shapes while the popcorn is still warm. Let the shaped popcorn cool completely then drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with green and red candy shavings or sprinkles. To create the candy cane hook: Using a greased wooden skewer, create a hole at the top of the popcorn ball, then insert Candy Cane in top of ball until only top of cane shows. Tie a festive ribbon to the hook, then wrap with cellophane or plastic wrap. Store at room temperature.
Final step: hang ornaments on your tree, step back, and take a look at your holiday masterpiece!
