Parenting Tips: “I Think I’m Gay”
Posted on 28 July 2008 by Sharifa
While doing my usual morning internet surfing, I came across this jewel of parenting tips. I think more and more parents are facing the “Mom/Dad, I’m gay” discussion. I wanted to pass on the following article, because it addresses this “fear” and how to handle it. I would like to think that your love for your child would always overshadow anything they said or did that you didn’t agree with, and that’s exactly what this article condones. It also emphasizes that if the parent is the one having a hard time dealing with this then they are the ones who should seek counseling. Bravo for that! Don’t sluff your own bigoted fears onto your kids.
