Rumor has it that The Good Charlotte band member Benji Madden is now seeing popstar Britney Spears. Benji recently split from heiress Paris Hilton and now InTouch magazine is reporting that he is with Spears. InTouch magazine reported that an insider spy told them that:

Britney’s manager worked with Papa Jamie Spears to create a list of potential boyfriends for the pop icon. In addition to Benji, the list also included Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, actor Jesse Metcalf, and Olympian Michael Phelps.

However, it looks like Benji took the bait first and is now dating Britney and supposedly her manager Larry Rudolph is supposed to make some big PR announcement about it. Something just doesn’t seem right…weren’t Paris and Britney buddies? They used to party often without underwear, I totally thought they were BFF’s.

So, do you think he is actually into her or doing this just to anger Paris? Or are you like me and thinking that this is just a really bad/fake story from InTouch?
