Who’s the Hottie in the Kitchen?

Whomever is in charge of coming up with the next, and most relevant “—sexual” title sure must have their work cut out for them. First there was the “Metrosexual” now they’ve really outdone themselves with the “Gastrosexual”. Sounds daunting, doesn’t it? Well the new term is a lot sexier than it sounds.
The new term “Gastrosexual” refers to a new generation of men who have found that their masculinity and sex appeal can stem from a simple cutting board and chef’s knife. Cooking is no longer a hobby or chore for some men, it’s all about impressing your friends and wooing the ladies. And- it’s working!
Recent polls have shown that a man’s ability to cook is now as appealing to women as their salary, status, personality, appearance, and sense of humor. Yes, we women can be demanding. We now want you to make a great living, be handsome, fit, hilarious, and a four-star chef.
The report (yes, there’s a report) The Emergence of the Gastrosexual, cites the popularity of celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsey, Bobby Flay and Jamie Oliver, as one of the reasons behind mens’ new culinary endeavors. Many women, are now happy to brag that their beaus are better in the kitchen than they are. They’re happy, and even turned on when their men take the initiative in the kitchen.
Be warned though, a sudden interest in all things culinary does not at all mean that your man has any interest in any other household chore. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Since men are now finding their voice in the kitchen (dirtying EVERY pan along the way) they find even more reason to sit on the couch and let you clean the dishes.
Cooking is a passion for the new Gastrosexual. It’s about more than boiling water for pasta. The Gastrosexual is concerned with quality, ingredients, layers and taste. It’s a passion my friends. I say, no matter how many dishes he dirties, get in there and eat was he’s cooking. If he idolizes people like Jamie Oliver and Bobby Flay, his next creation might not be all that bad!
