Rock Band 2: More Songs Revealed, New Details as Well

The latest issue of Game Informer has confirmed another handful of songs present in Rock Band 2:
- Bon Jovi - “Livin’ on a Prayer”
- Steve Miller Band - “Rock ‘n Me”
- Rage Against the Machine - “Testify”
- Billy Idol - “White Wedding Pt. 1″
- Joan Jett - “Bad Reputation”
- Avenged Sevenfold - “Almost Easy”
- Social Distortion - “I Was Wrong”
These are added onto the already growing list of confirmed tracks for the game.
According to the article, other improvements to the game include a redesigned drum peripheral, with quieter, velocity-sensitive pads, a metal-reinforced drum pedal, and expansion slots for cymbals. A limited edition Ion drum kit will also be released. The deluxe kit will feature four sturdy pads and three cymbals, and will apparently function as a real electronic drum kit outside of the game.
Additional details the article revealed:
- A Jukebox mode will allow players to listen to their songs outside of gameplay.
- The game will feature a track selection screen reminiscent of the current Rock Band music store.
- Lag calibration is now more user-friendly, and will include an auto-calibration mode.
- The guitar has been redesigned, with quieter buttons and a less squishy strum bar.
- Instruments can now be “tuned” during the band loading screen, allowing players to pound or strum away while waiting.
- The merchandise store is still coming for both Rock Band and the sequel.
- Rock Band 2 will include a photo mode which will allow you to pose your characters and add visual effects before uploading the shots to RockBand.com.
