Roll Away The Lbs.

I’m fairly well endowed up top and the thought of being in a building full of people watching the girls jiggle is enough to keep me away. I know I could invest in a really good sports bra but they don’t even seem to help the problem. I have since found a solution to my exercise delima. Roller skating. It’s comparable to running, a great way to get your cardio in, and fun enough so you don’t actually feel like you’re exercising. If I went jogging for 30 minutes I’d burn between 300-400 calories. Roller skating for the same amount of time, I’d burn approximately 315 calories. Plus I’m working all the same muscle groups without the strain on my lower back and feet. To propel myself forward I have to relay on my quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, hip adductors and hip abductors (glutal muscles) as well as my abdominals and obliques to keep my form.

Next time you’re groaning about working out, drop your tennis shoes and grab a pair of skates instead, and don’t forget your protective gear (helmet and knee and elbow pads). Put in your earbuds, throw some old school jams on your ipod, and start rolling yourself towards a fitter you.
