Shia Waiting To Exhale

Here’s a photo of Shia LaBeouf taking a much-needed smoke break at the local hospital patio. (At least he didn’t try and puff in his hospital room. He’s been known to do such things.)
Word is Shia’s accident has put the halt on the very expensive Tranformers 2 production. But believe it or not, that film’s notoriously testy director Michael Bay has come to the troubled actor’s defense.
Although the 22-year-old was arrested and charged with DUI, Bay tells tonight’s Access Hollywood, “He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”
And then he adds, “The kid really has his head together. He’s doing a great job on this movie. He’s really matured since the last one and I love working with him.”
Matured??? In the last year he’s been arrested twice, reprimanded several times for smoking indoors and made what many claim to be a homophobic YouTube video. Matt Damon he ain’t!
