Songs Of Summer
Posted on 17 June 2008 by Sharifa
My favorite thing to do during the summer is hop in the Yaris and drive up PCH with the wind in my hair and great summer tunes on the radio. Check out this list of songs, that no ipod should be without.
The Pina Colada Song by Rupert Holmes: The ultimate anthem to hating yoga, cheating on your SO, and loving to drink!
Summertime by Fresh Prince & DJ Jazzy Jeff: Remember back when Will Smith was the “IT” rapper? Well, I barely do either but he penned this notorious song that epitomizes summer. Play it and “get down with your bad self.”
Summer In The City by The Lovin’ Spoonful: ’60s rockfunk at it’s best! This is the only time when admitting that “the back of [your] neck is gettin’ dirty and grity” is ok.
The Beach Boys: Yes I know they’re a band and not a song. The point is, any song by this definitive fun in the summer sand OG boy band is a must have on your itunes list this season.
Thong Song by Sisquo: Sure it’s wildly inappropriate, but isn’t that why we loved it? A song about girls shaking their derriere in pieces of string reminds me of my summer vaca in Thailand, plus the words are so simple!
