Summertime S’mores

Have you had s’mores yet this summer?
S’mores and summer are synonymous in my mind. I can still picture camping out by the beach with my grandparents, making s’mores after a long day of bike riding and beach play. Nothing in the world could have been more satisfying that that toasted (or…burnt!) marshmallow with melting chocolate surrounded by graham crackers.
S’mores are a great treat to make with kids! Whether you’re in the backyard over your tiny grill, or out at a beautiful beach watching the sunset, making s’mores means you’re making memories.
Here’s 5 Ways to Play with the Traditional S’more.
- Instead of the traditional Hershey Bars, try Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- How about Chocolate Chip Cookies instead of graham crackers
- Spread Nutella onto graham crackers, then top with toasted marshmallow
- Add sliced, fresh strawberries to your traditional s’more
- Sprinkle toasted coconut in between your chocolate bar and toasted marshmallow
