Despite the best efforts from Neversoft to keep track listings for their upcoming mega-difficult music title Guitar Hero: Metallica–and seriously I have word from inside sources that this will be what GH gurus have been waiting for–we find ourselves here with an updated list of what’s been leaked thus far:

Shacknews reveals to us–through talks with Neversoft project director Brian Bright–that the mysterious new instrument dangled by Bright last month is actually not an instrument at all.
Instead a new feature is offered that will let PC users import MIDI tracks into the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

In addition to guitar, drums and a mic, it appears that Guitar Hero: World Tour will be adding a new instrument to the peripheral parade when it arrives this October.
