Nintendo has revealed–via its press conference in Tokyo–a new effort in the Punch-Out!! series is in production for the Wii. The boxing title starring what looks to be a modernized Little Mac is expected to release in 2009 (no word yet on a potential, and for that matter crucial, Doc Lewis appearance).

Nintendo of America has announced that Wii Music will arrive on October 20th.
The motion-controlled title–originally announced at E3–packs over 60 instruments and according to Nintendo ” [lets] people turn their living rooms into fun concert halls” and “aims to bring a deeper love and appreciation of music to everyone.”

The Nintendo DS effort Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, will release in retailers sometime between November 1, 2008 and January 31, 2009, publisher Take-Two has revealed.

Nintendo has denied reports that it is working on a new version of its Nintendo DS handheld device.
The rumors indicated that a new DS would be announced in early 2009. The supposed update was to include larger screens, and a second touchscreen.
