New reports have come out describing the way Travis Barker and Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein were able to cheat death and escape the inferno with their lives.

Here’s a statement I found on People.com from Lieut. Josh Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department:

“[Travis and Adam] told me that they slid down the wing on the right side of the plane. They said they were on fire and that they tackled each other and put each other out.”

Talk about friendship bond for life! They technically survived a crash and saved each other’s lives. This is the forming of an even closer bond between the two that will last them a lifetime. To add to the gravity of the burns, it’s said that Travis was only wearing shorts and a black hat, no shirt. Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was also only wearing shorts. Doctors say that it may take up to a year to heal from these burns.
