Sony’s Will Smith starrer Hancock, a film about another kind of superhero, dropped 47% in its sophomore outing to ring up $33 million in second place and a 10-day cume of $165 million.

The critically-reviled Hancock started off powerful with a $17.3M Wednesday opening (from its full run in 3,965 venues), easily landing it to a #1 finish.
That said, the Will Smith/Charlize Theron actioner should have a fairly easy time reaching $100M for the 5-day holiday.

Get Smart, starring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway, emerged the winner at the box office this weekend, raking in over $39 million. However, that other comedy opening, The Love Guru, came in 4th, petering to a disasterous $14 million.
