Thanksgiving Memories and Value with Safeway
Posted on 19 November 2009 by Andrea
We all have great memories of Thanksgiving. One of my favorites is of helping my mom plan her menu, and the grocery shopping. I remember her going over and over her handwritten list, with a stack of coupons on the table in front of her.
I once mentioned that I thought all of this was a lot of trouble for just one dinner. She answered back quickly, “You have to be organized. That’s how you save money – and time.”
Well, I’m a mom now. And thanks to Safeway, I save both.
Between Safeway’s email savings and weekly specials, I’m able to serve up a Thanksgiving dinner Mom will be proud of – at a price I can afford.
I’ll save even more time and money by taking advantage of Safeway’s home delivery service. They offer Free Delivery for first-time customers, along with a Free Turkey with a $200 minimum purchase (offer valid through November 23rd, 2009).
This year’s Thanksgiving promises to be really special. My daughter is old enough now to help with the turkey. So for the first time, there will be three of us in the kitchen. Of course, it’ll be much easier than one of Mom’s Thanksgivings. Because we’ll be using Safeway’s exclusive 2-Hour Turkey recipe.
I can hear my Mom’s reaction already. “A turkey in two hours? Impossible.” But I’ve got my response ready. “It’s just like you always taught me, Mom: time is money.”
