The Old Apron: an extremely functional, yet hideous accessory.

The New Apron: an extremely functional, fashionable,  yet underused accessory.

After the 50’s, woman slowly but surely began escaping the boring
burden of being uber domestic. Today, many modern ladies are invoking a
call back to the kitchen and they’re cooking in style! Click the link below to see the cute new generation…

apron 2.jpgI can’t imagine
preparing all the food for an amazing soirée sans one of my many
aprons. Also, I cannot fathom greeting my guests in an unsightly sheath
of fabric (aka an archaic apron). That’s why I’m thankful for creative
companies such as Domistyle, Apronique, Lulu’s Vintage, and Busy B. Designs.
Now you can don an apron with confidence, class, and peachy panache. Go
ahead and wipe those dirty hands all over that chic apron … you’ll be
saving the planet (no paper towels used) while you save your sassy new
outfit. It’s a beautiful thing.

These are cool! I decided to make aprons as Christmas gifts this year, which has been fun. I chose some (to me) really stylish fabrics that have a modern-yet-classic feel to them. There’s no reason to look like a dolt in your apron…FASHION BABY!
