The Ting Tings are Running with the Big Boys (and Girls)

The up and coming The Ting Tings have been nominated for the 2008 MTV Music Video of the Year with “Shut Up and Let Me Go” in the US. They have also been nominated in the UK for the best video category.
The duo is running against other powerhouses like the Pussycat Dolls (When I Grow Up) Britney Spears (Piece of Me) and the tween sensation the Jonas Brothers (Burnin’ Up). All nominees were nominated by MTV.com users for their favorite artists from the year.
The nominees for the best rock video have also been announced, which has Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Slipknot, Linkin Park, and the Foo Fighters fighting for the top spot.
