I’m not sure what I love more: baking cookies through the month of December, or flipping through cookbooks and scouring the internet looking for holiday cookie recipes. Somehow it feels like searching for the recipes is just as satisfying as baking the cookies themselves, and, as an added bonus, just looking keeps my kitchen clean.
Here are my five favorite Christmas cookies so far. Some of these look so great that I’ll, no doubt, hop in the kitchen to make a few. Are you baking holiday cookies this winter? Well, there’s no better time to get started!
Snowball Cookies- Like little Mexican Wedding Cookies, renamed just for the holiday.
Red Velvet Black and White Cookies- Easily my favorite cookie! Now, extra festive!
Orange Cream Cheese Cut Out Cookies- Smells just like Christmas!
Minty Chocolate Christmas Cookies- Beautiful and delicate Christmas Cookies from 101 Cookbooks. Classy.
Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies- I think these cookies were one of the first things my mom taught me how to make. I’m such a sucker for nostalgic cookies!
