My insatiable thirst for Internet beauty tools all started during a conversation with my Mom. She called me in a panic a few months back, and for the first few seconds of the conversation I thought that something might have actually been wrong. Nothing tragic had happened but my Mom had a unbelievably urgent need to learn how to create a smoky eye with her eye shadow.
I was certain she was joking, maybe even mocking me for my sometimes over the top makeup choices. Nope. She was dead serious. It turns out she had spent entirely too much time on the treadmill reading Glamour magazine and she needed a smoky eye now!
