Trader Joe’s- The Cookbook
Posted on 17 July 2008 by joy
Someone has finally done it! Someone has finally come out with a Trader Joe’s cookbook. It’s about time!
Cooking with All Things Trader Joe’s is a cookbook that… well, doesn’t the title pretty much say it best?
Trader Joe’s is food shopping heaven. You can buy the makings of a gourmet meal to make at home for a fraction of the cost of going out to eat. With this cookbook, dinner seems like a no fail situation, as long as you can make it through the always treacherous Trader Joe’s parking lot. Some of the recipes include Black Bean Soup, Balsamic Green Beans and Spicy Tropical Shrimp Boats. Really? Spicy Tropical Shrimp Boats? Is it just me or does that sound totally gross?
Overall Cooking with All Things Trader Joe’s book didn’t knock my socks off. It’s not as inspired as I thought it might be. The book does have it’s audience, if you love Trader Joe’s but might not have the necessary creativity on any given night to come up with fabulous dishes, check out this cookbook. You’ll get a few good meals out of the deal.
Now if the book could only help me find a parking spot and a shorter line, we’d be in business!
